Soul Eater's Blair Cosplay Gallery 1

I just pimped out the Soul Eater Cosplay Gallery in my DeviantArt, so might as well dedicate a post to it here, since this costume is pretty much retired.

Still incomplete costume... :(

Those guns are the real thing.

Two little witches.

Yay, that's all for now. All photos by Morataya.

Shinobu-chan cosplay wardrobe

Shinobu-chan wears so many cute outfits during the series, I think I want to make them all! I also love the marker illustrations the artist has done for the series, I've tried to gather as many as I can:

Shinobu & Kaede-chan with Onsokomaru
This is the Anna Miller's waitress uniform.
with megane! (glasses)
Shinobu-chan neko-matta version!

Out on a safari.
She looks like a christmas tree XD
a cute little vest and pigtails
From the Sasuke episode,
Shinobu in school uniform pulling her "little sister" act.
Her regular garb, but I love this illust ♥
Mata ne!

Shinobu-chan in progress!

Despite my constant battles with the sewing machine, I was able to make lots of progress on my Shinobu costume last night! I also have almost finished the Sasuke ninja costume for my all purpose asian to wear :3

I'm pretty happy I can take Shinobu to the Morikami shoot! I'll worry about having more props (Onsokumaru!) and accessories later on.

This is Cosplay! @ CS Gallery Videos

The first video is what it was like to walk in into the Gallery (and the funky music they were playing to which James bobs his head to...)

The second one is a 360 degree view Morataya took while standing in the center of the exhibit. I can be seen for a few seconds chatting it up... XD

So yea, just wanted to have this here cuz it's kinda surreal to see myself in video O_o

Sewing frustration =_=

I've been working on and off on the Hanekawa costume, it's not a priority since there really isn't a group cosplay that I have to complete it for, but if feels like I've been working on this costume the most because of all the problems I've ran into trying to make it myself... and Koyomi's jacket.
Apparently it is almost impossible to find a pattern for a men's jacket, there are more patterns for women's but they're more business like, and those puffy sleeves~ pft, what a joke.

I kinda sorta learned how to make a pleated skirt:

pleat making contraption, made from scratch!

skirt test

skirt with waistband pinned

Except all these layers refuse to sew through the sewing machine =_= I've tried heavy duty needles, different tension settings, maybe it's the thread I'm using!?
All aspects of this costume have been too frustrating, I just don't want to do it anymore...

Instead I'll moving to Shinobu-chan YEY! Goodbye Tsubasa cat >_>
